HYMN 65. L.M.
Struggling against unbelief. (cont.)
4 |
Lord, I believe thy grace is free;
O! magnify thy grace in me.
|
HYMN 66. L.M.
We celebrate his dying love.
1 |
JESUS, once for sinners slain,
From the dead was rais'd again;
And in heav'n is now set down
With his Father on his throne.
|
2 |
There he reigns a King supreme:
We shall also reign with him:
Feeble souls, be not dismay'd;
Trust in his almighty aid.
|
3 |
He has made an end of sin;
And his blood hath wash'd us clean:
Fear not; he is ever near;
Now, even now, he's with us here.
|
4 |
Thus assembling, we by faith,
Till he come, show forth his death;
Of his body, bread's the sign:
And we view his blood in wine.
|
5 |
Saints on earth, with saints above,
Celebrate his dying love;
And let ev'ry ranaom'd soul
Sound his praise from pole to pole.
|
HYMN 67. L.M.
The gospel feast.
1 |
HOW rich are thy provisions, Lord!
Thy table furnish'd from above;
The fruits of life o'erspread the board,
The cup o'erflows with heav'nly love.
|
2 |
Thine ancient family, the Jews,
Were first invited to the feast:
We humbly take, what they refuse,
And Gentiles thy salvation taste.

HYMN 67. L.M.
The gospel feast. (cont.)
3 |
We are the poor, the blind, the lame,
And help was far, and death was nigh!
But, at the gospel call, we came,
And ev'ry want receiv'd supply.
|
4 |
From the highway that leads to hell,
From paths of darkness and despair,
Lord, we are come with thee to dwell,
Glad to enjoy thy presence here.
|
5 |
What shall we pay the eternal Son,
That left the heav'n of his abode;
And to this wretched earth came down,
To bring us wand'rers back to God!
|
6 |
It cost him death to save our lives;
To buy our souls, it cost his own:
And all the unknown joys he gives,
Were bought with agonies unknown.
|
7 |
Our everlasting love is due
To him, that ransom'd sinners lost,
And pitied rebels, when he knew
The vast expense his love would cost.
|
8 |
To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Be honour, praise, and glory giv'n,
By all on earth, and all in heav'n.
|
HYMN 68. L.M.
Not ashamed of Christ crucified.
1 |
AT thy command, our dearest Lord,
Here we attend thy living feast;
Thy blood, like wine, adorns thy board,
And thine own flesh feeds ev'ry guest.
|
2 |
Our faith adores thy bleeding love,
And trusts for life in one that died;
We hope for heav'nly crowns above,
From a Redeemer crucified.
